I will soon be embarking on an extended storytelling trip to Greece and Cyprus, and to help finance the trip I will be telling the epic of the Odyssey online. My goal is to raise enough funds so as to visit the island of Ithaki, the legendary home of Odysseus himself.

You can assist me in my journey either by making a one-time donation here or by joining my Patreon community here, after which you'll receive a Zoom link to my Odyssey performances.

It is a wild and strange thing to be a storyteller from Ithaca, New York setting out on a trip to Ithaki, Greece. It speaks not only to the American hunger for myth but to the marvelous resilience of this 3,000-year-old story. My goal is to explore the land and culture out of which this story has come, and to pay my respects.

A glimpse of my version of the Odyssey is below. Please join me if you can, and may the stories nourish you as we journey into the realm of autumn!
"I honestly wondered if adolescents of the Instagram era had the patience for a storyteller, but I wonder no more. Leeming had their rapt attention for over an hour, using only his voice, his gestures, and instruments that could have come from the Bronze Age. It was a great reminder that the oldest stories are often the best stories, for they reveal most clearly the essence of what it means to be human."
